Looks like a bull.
Looks a little old for my liking. I'd probably cash him in and pay for a new one.

I agree, with current slaughter bull prices he should easily pound out over $3000 after commissions. I would put that toward buying a younger, better bull.

I only run 8 cows on my home place at the moment, so I lease a bull for here. I have 18 cows on a bigger lease place that I own a bull there.

He's ok…keeps them bred and he don't get out. Gentle as can be. I need to go black though, so he may be taking a trip soon. Pics of him back in May.

I kind of like both if it weren't for the age. Not crazy about horns. But if they've both done a good job, I would give them a solid "B" at the very least. The black one could stand to lose a few pounds but he's got a nice frame and a solid build. The Hereford looks fairly typical for the breed.

Just sold one last week about that same size. He bought over $4,000 and was $0.25/lb under the top for the day.
