Remember this. It is many in his own party that are bucking his budget. Some because they are not getting deeper spending cuts. Some because their favorite programs are not getting funded.

If the government shuts down do we have to pay taxes on the money we earn on the days the government is shutdown?

Are they not able to work on more than one item at a time? That's the way the news was making it look this morning. Like they have to make a deal on daca and the wall before they can discuss a deal on the budget.

Hopefully it'll be more like a strike this time around, and no government employee will get paid...ever. Punish everyone and just not the one's paying to play the game.

It is all wrapped together as negotiating strategy. Example: you give me a vote on the wall, I will give you a vote on your farm budget. So it is all rolled together.
