Ok, not trying to rain on your parade,but here goes. With the questions you have asked your ability to do this is questionable... You really want to take a chance on killing yourself, or worse, others just to save a few dollars?
I used to weld for a living but because of some health problems I'm not supposed to breath those fumes now.I have friends that weld and I used to do all kinds of welding projects for friends for nothing so I know some of them would do this for me.
The reason I asked about the 3"x3" tubing was after looking at all these receiver hitches on the back of trucks and I figured it would be too small for a goosneck hitch.
