We had all three calves place in their classes. And one heifer went on to win her division.

This bull was reserve in his class..

Placing in the American Royal i s a big deal. Be proud of your gooid calves.

Congrats! As others have said, placing at the Royal is a pretty big deal. Where are you showing them next?

Thanks everyone! Boot Jack, I'm considering Denver. B&G

Have you ever been? Showing there is an amazing and horrifying experience! It is fun and not something everyone will do in their lifetime, but it is also a long week, cold, wet, and is tons of walking. Advice if you do go-good walking shoes/boots (you will be walking in cow patties anyway, so don't stress the style), get a good hotel (close is awesome, but the main thing is a good bed with a decent breakfast), plan to procure food somewhere other than the vendors on site (think $10 for pop)....
And just enjoy the experience and have fun! Seriously, taking ones stock onto the tanbark at NWSS is one of the most awesome experiences!
