Probably won't hear much about this in the news but there was a bad tornado that struck close to my brother's MIL's house. It destroyed the home in front of her house and killed the occupants. Destroyed her two barns one being uninsured and worth nearly $100,000. Her home's roof was pulled off and debris is everywhere. One couple literally had their home destroyed around them except the room they were sitting in but a tree crashed through the roof and hurt the man's ankle. Good news is before the dust had settled good samaratans from the local churches and Billy Graham's Rapid Response Team was on the scene helping people rebuild their lives. My brother was working on his MIL's roof putting tar paper on it to keep the rain out when a bunch of volunteers came to help. No looting, no crime, just people bringing supplies and equipment in to help clean up the mess. I'll be there next week to do whatever I can to help but from what my brother says, it sounds like Billy Graham's bunch and the church's will probably have most of it knocked out before I can get there. Anyhow, with it being the end of the year and charities looking for donations I just thought I'd toss a rose out to Billy Graham's Rapid Response Team and the various churches in that area. They appear to be living by the golden rule and there is not much more than one could ask for.

Will all the crap we hear day in and day out in the news, it's good to hear something like this. May God be with those that lost loved ones.

My sentiments as well. Hope they will be okay!
