Good -5 (C) Morning

Help Support CattleToday:

Tornadoes rarely hit anywhere (statistically). Same with Hurricanes I suspect. Winter is every year. As is the heat down south. You can plan all you want for winter, but it will still kick your arse. Winters that don't freeze are actually the worse. The snow mud combo. The way the two of them work together to make life heck. Livestock health in snow/mud is like livestock health in 100 degree sunshine. I'm not in the tundra, I'm in the lake effect zone so maybe that's why I feel that way? But, would I be happier down south in July? No. But I'd be happier there in February!!

Hurricanes seem to hit lots of places in reality.... and no matter what you think you've prepared for it can literally wipe your stuff off the map and leave you with nothing.

Winter hits every year for sure. I plan and prepare for it and have never felt that winter kicks me arse... I've never had a fear of watching my stuff wash away, or get carried away in the wind.
