will goats swim across a pond to get out?
i suspect i already know the answer.

As you suspect, Beefy, the answer is yes! they regularly crossed a dam on my farm where the fence was right down to the waterline, no access to the wall, I eventually resorted to moving them behind electric fences to keep them where I needed the scrub cleared.

Yep.

They will also jump in the dam and swim round and round for three hours in the rain in the middle of the night when you are trying to get the escapee back into its paddock.

They will also not have a clue what a dam is if they have only been drinking out of a trough, and they wont drink for a week from that big scary thing in the middle of the paddock.

They will also get themselves wedged in between two water troughs, and scream and scream until you get them out, only to get back in there two minutes later.

Ah, goats . . .
