Does anyone feed gin trash to their cattle?
What are you supplementing with gin trash and what happens if they get "to much cottonseed"? How much cottonseed is to much? Must be alot.If it's available locally Gin Trash is a good supplement and normally very cheap. Lots of fiber in it so no worries about them getting too much of the cotton seed.
Anything left after ginning cotton and separating cotton seed. What is gin trash?
Hahaha, I was thinking Gin and tonic. Like distiller waste, the freaking regional differences amaze me.
Gossypol is the limiting toxic factor in cotton seed, depends on concentration in your seed. What are you supplementing with gin trash and what happens if they get "to much cottonseed"? How much cottonseed is to much? Must be alot.
Here gin trash is only worth the cost of trucking, we lease ground to a gin operator and they will disc harrow it into ground. It has very limited nutrition value and will depend heavily on how the cotton was picked and type.My son made a deal and we are buying 210 tons.
Imperfect, but as the Mexicans say..It must be pretty good.
We got out bid on it today.
I was thinking it was someone living in a trailer park who drinks Gin.Hahaha, I was thinking Gin and tonic. Like distiller waste, the freaking regional differences amaze me.
My son got a some a couple years ago and dumped it in the pasture for the cows to eat just to try it.I looked at it but don't want the spray residue to kill my precious little microbes...
