Been busy starting to prepare cattle for the summer/autumn show circuit.
Started 4 new South Devon,4 new Brahmans and 2 new Herefords,as well have the old ones. Will have about 30 head to pick from to alternate around the shows. Have a big first half of 2006 coming up with Beef 2006 in Rockhampton in May as well as the local shows in February,Toowoomba Royal in March.
For our hometown show will have 10 South Devons,5 Brahmans and 2 Herefords in the lead classes as well as cattle for the prime section (unlead), Brahman cross vealers and South Devon cross vealers. As well this next year they will have unlead registered and unregistered bulls which will be great for those that don't want to lead their animals.
We also contribute to other sections of our show,flowers and produce and poultry.
Shows are an important part of our rural life and need to be maintained.
