Speaking of sales.. was it just in Central Texas.. or were the auction barns closed Thursday through the 5th anywhere else?? We loaded up 10 calves Thursday morning and found out when we pulled into the auction barn that the barns were all closed for "buyer's holiday". Ended up taking them direct to Schwertners, which actually worked out good! 300 - 400 lb. heifers were bringing $1.29 - $1.35
