RBB. I am not promoting this as the means to making significant mating and selection decisions. In fact, it might surprise many that I personally think EPDs based on numeric or genomic data at this moment in time are weak. My interest is in the impact it will have in the future. How far off that future is - I don't think we know.

This article does express the complexities and the promise held by genomics. I especially think it demonstrates the methodology involved.
 
Well it easy to get started. Its when you get started and see that some things just don't work like they say it should. While other things do. Different animals appear to line up with the dna better than others.I think most of the carcass traits seem pretty good. Till they get added to epd's.
