Pulled a few radishes today. I like to plant them as you see results while the other stuff gets going.

I was reading somewhere about cooking the greens. They said it was purty strong. Well it didn't seem to strong to me. Reminded me of spinach except it was really green. I'll do it again.

Never tried that before. Did it take a lot to make a mess?

On the note of different type greens, ever eaten lambsquarter? Very good. Tastes like spinach and broccoli mixed into one plant.

Never had lambsquarter. I'll have to look it up.

It wilts down about like most greens. I love greens with pepper sauce.

It cooks up very much like spinach. I'll have to try that.

The lambsquarter is best picked during the winter months or early spring. You can normally find it on cropland. Its the first cousin to spinach but will have more vitamins than spinach. I cut the plant, stem and all, and toss in a bucket. Needs to rinsed real good cause there are some hairs on the leaves which are prone to collect sand particles. I then just chop them up and cook them like greens. If you like spinach and broccoli you will like it.
