I have seen some analysis. It was introduce by a former gang banger congressmen from Illinois who is a convicted felon from weapons charges so there is his credentials. On Fox News there was some legal specialist talking and did not think this bill was going very far because there was so many extreame additions added on to it. It was not just hand guns but had somthing also about long guns with self feeding detachable devices such as magazines. But I am sure they will get a toned down of version of it going in the next few years, they will chip away at it one piece at a time.

The biggest problem with bills like this is that the supporters will compromise and get rid of the radical extreme stuff then claim that since they've compromised that the progun folks should also. They'll tout itto the mainstream media and the sheep will think it's the answer to all of the problems.

All I can say is that all of those rabid anti-gunners out there haven't the vaguest clue regarding the real problem with our society. They, just like all of the other self-serving activists, have their own misguided agendas they are trying to force on the rest of the people.

This reminds me of something:

A citizen was unable to get a stop sign put at a neighborhood intersection as a reminder to not speed through it since there were children around.

A stop sign was finally put up along with a flashing red light...

After the Mayor's kid on his bicycle was hit by a speeding car...through the intersection...

Moral: The anti-gunners will probably not get "the message" until one of their own is shot or killed by an intruder breaking into their own house... then they will just probably say it was "fate" or "God's Will" or some other lame excuse... such as "we need more gun control to keep guns off the street"...
