LA4A,

If you can find it, there is a good book I read a few years ago about Reagan. The title is "In his own Hand". Very good reading about the man from his time as the actor to radio host to governor to president.

It's available on Amazon.com.

I like this one:

"Some people spend an entire LIFETIME wondering if they made a DIFFERENCE. The MARINES don't have that Problem." President Ronald Reagan 1985.

Of course, I have a husband who was in the Corps, and a son set to graduate USMC bootcamp later this month ;-)

It's just amazing how many people can't give President Reagen his due. He laid out a plan to improve the economy and to actually win the cold war and it worked. I've heard some criticize asking how much it cost us to spend the USSR into bankruptcy but look how much a war costs. Really seems pretty insignificant now. I just wish we had another strong leader who could lead us through this time of terriorism.
