Freezer Beef

Hi guys and gals, I have read over the forum for quite some time picking up helpful info here and there. Recently I have read several threads about freezer beef. I was wanting to know from the people that advertise and do this as a niche, what do you think a fair profit is on a 1250-1350 lb animal just grain finished? Thanks

Mine are essentially sold before they are finished. I finish them the way the customer wants them finished and they pay for the feed as well as the processing. It has worked well for quite some time. I have some folks who just want them grass finished.

I do not have any Long Horns but have a long time customer who is now a heart patient and requesting a grass finished LH. Apparently his doc told him he could eat lean beef and suggested LHs.
