: can anybody tell me where or at what site i can find a copy of the MISSOURI FRAME SCORE chart? the one in the barn is shot!!!
You may try the Missouri extension services at muextension.missouri.edu. They have several reports and information on line. If you are good with spreadsheets the formula(s) are:
Bulls:
frame score = -11.548 + 0.4878*(Ht) - 0.0289*(days of age) + 0.00001947* (days of age)^2 + 0.0000334 * (Ht) * (Days of Age). Using this formula a 6 frame bull at 12 months is 51" tall. A 7 frame bull at 12 months is 53".
Heifers:
frame score = -11.7086 + 0.4723*(Ht) - 0.0239*(Days of Age) + 0.0000146*(days of age)^2 + 0.0000759*(Ht)*(days of Age). A 6 frame 12 month heifer is 49" tall and a 7 frame heifer would be 51".
Note: ^2 notation = squared (or raised the the power of 2). * notation = "times".
Good Luck. Hope this helps.
