FPL Food Chatel Farms

I was trying to find some information about Chatel Farms in Reidsville, GA. Haven't heard too much about the place except for small articles here and there on the internet. Is this a good outlet to custom feed good calves in the southeast or would it be better off to ship them west and take advantage of a better corn basin.

It sure didn't work out like they said it would. I'm not impressed at all.

Chatel Farms had a open house a few years ago and was trying to have the local producers commit to sell to them for a premium. All the calves had to be mostly Angus and worked according to BQA standards. It ended up not working out for the local cattlemen. We did as well selling trailer weaned calves at Turner County Livestock.
