Found some cows today

Help Support CattleToday:

I bought a short, stumpy, long bodied black cow at the sale one time... figured there was some lowline in her.... but bred every year to different angus bulls in our herd... and she would produce a calf that would be near 3/4 of her height at weaning and probably weigh 70+% of her mature weight. Have kept several of her daughters/grand daughters as replacements as they breed back and have nice calves and just do good. The vet friend made a little fun of "shorty" when preg checking her... but she was MY COW and I didn't let that bother me...
Then again, I am always going against the "norm" ..... contrary person that I am...
