On one acre of native forest ground, how thickly or thinly spaced out would 200 six-eight inch and bigger trees be?
For the southern pine/hardwood areas, is that:
A lot of trees per acre?
Not many trees per acre?
About average number of trees per acre?

Not how I was taught but this is much easier.

Forest surveyor I know always told me rule of thumb was 200 an acre in mixed timber.
