Does anyone here love a ford 5000 ? I have always loved them from when I was younger and now I have been trying to find one in good shape in my area and its like a needle in a haystack.

if you want a 5000 ford.you may have to buy 1 thats wore plum out an completely rebuild an restore it.

Bigbull thats what I was thinking I just one of them but do not really have a major need for one and dont want to spend a whole lot on one. I been trying to go to auctions and get one but there just not there anymore.

The 5000 is a great tractor. To this day I think a 7000 is the most comfortable tractor I have ever used. I'm a Massey man now, but a 7000 sure sits nice.

Your right. I've driven 2000, 3,000 4,000, 5,000, and 7,000. The 6,000 must have been scarce in my area. Lots of the others though. The leg room is what I remember the most. It was the first platform tractor I ever drove, might have been why.

bigfoot there was 2 differant 6000s made.an at 1 time we owned both of them.had 1 with the fel an 1 without fel.an i still have the 1 without the loader.
