For those vanilla ice cream lovers.....

This is my latest concoction that I thought I'd share with those of you who enjoy vanilla ice cream or milkshakes. I stumbled onto this by mistake while making something else. I only wish all my mistakes were this delicious. I don't have a name for it yet but I was sortof leaning toward The Blue Orgasm but maybe if someone tries it they can come up with something more suitable.

16 oz frozen sliced strawberries in sugar
24 oz of blueberries
32 oz of maraschino cherries
2.5 cups of sugar
1.5 cups of lemon juice
1/2 cup of lime juice
4 cups of water

Run all this stuff through a blender until its a liquid

Sounds great but did I miss something....where is the vanilla ice cream??? Do you add it to the ice cream for a shake, use as a topping, or is it a stand alone drink?

The end product is like a light syrup that is great on ice cream or in making milkshakes or like some have eluded it could be used as a base for a drink.

Wife makes something similar for a slurry type adult beverage. We call it a "Pop Tart in a Glass", or just Pop Tart for short. The name just happened along when one of the kids (while holding a real pop tart) ask if he could have a drink. Mom told him she was drinking a pop tart for grown-ups. Your recipe mix is good stuff, with or without alcohol.

Not Viagra. Ciales. That Viagra will have you seeing blue light andwith a killer headache. Add the everclear to that, and you can forget the stiff one.

The berries are coming in now and my son was coming home from college with his Nebraskan girlfriend so I thought I'd put together a nice fruit drink since I thought this would help her overcome the heat and and humidity. I had seen a recipe for a berry drink but I was going from memory and it just didn't end up be the nice light concoction I remembered. I'm glad I made the mistake though.

So much for that idea. I have enough headaches without taking something that gives me one.
