This is the start of my herd.
Got 15 cows last night. 4-6 yrs old, 2nd stage bred. 3 white faces the rest all black.

Our steer is closest in this pic.

Get your AI started ASAP! Your future self will thank you. Breed them all to Hoover Dam, steer the sons, keep the daughters, rinse and repeat with SAV Raindance sexed semen. In 4 years you won't even recognize these cattle.

Nice start Sir, wish you well with them.

Not sure what direction you are thinking of going but with a small bunch like that I would consider leasing a bull for 60 days and buying my replacements.

Nice looking cows , congratulations! Exactly the same number and age/ stage we got back in with 2 years ago. What are they bred to?

Thanks all, we're really excited. Feel like a real farm now.

I was told they're bred to a registered Angus bull. I hope so. We'll see for sure when they calve

Any advice on what mineral or anything extra that would be good for them right now? I know that's a loaded question. Just not sure if there's anything special to increase my succesful calving chances.
I've got some feed store brand sweet mag mineral out now.
