Now, that might be true, Dun -- but you and I just don't know it! I see Craigslists ads for "Cow bull for sale," or a "Steer cow for sale," and once you get into the ad, it may be a cow or it may be a bull, or it may be a steer -- but most of them have horns. :lol:

first calf steers are sorta the same, cepts they are casterated males who have given birth to their first calf

We all know neither of these to be possible in the real world, but it is possible at CT.

And in between those two are "proven heifers", after she has breed back.

I am not sure if you are serious here or if this in jest or tongue in check.
So if you are serious.....dead wrong!!!
A heifer is only a heifer until the calf passes the canal. From then on she is a cow!
She is a heifer, a bred heifer or if she did not get bred first time around and is two+ to preg check, she can be known as a heiferette (maybe that is a Canadian term). However, once she has had a calf no longer is she a heifer, but a cow. She grew up, became a mother and is now a Cow and only known as a cow.
second calf heifer...is a cow
proven heifers...are cows...and only cows.
Lets not confuse the Beginners

A heifer is a heifer until she has her first calf.... Then she becomes a young cow. Never the less she is a cow The dividing line is the calf.

Before a calf...she is a heifer...after a calf...she is a cow
