Food For Thought

The teacher of my soil science class had given us a test a few years back and on the front of the test he had a paragraph of food for thought.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Experience is the hardes kind of teacher; it gives you the test first and the lesson afterward....timely good deeds are better than afterthoughts....the world would be wonderful if we all did as well as we expect to do tomorrow....if the going gets too easy, you may be going downhill....that you profit by your mistakes is a poor excuse to make them....the reputation of a lifetime may be determined by the conduct of one hour....change your ways when you see the light; don't wait until you feel the heat....quitters never win, winners niver quit....people who take too much pride in themselves should remember this- Mankind owes its very existance to a 6-inch layer of topsoil and timely rains!

Every sentence is the truth.
Something to remember, especially the reputation part. Agood reputation that has taken several years to build can be destroyed in one act.
