If you look closely you'll see how the strings reach down to sides of the cow as it passes through. Also you can just make out the part of the thing that actually holds all of the fluid. The fluid is wicked out and down the body of the mop onto the strings.

I have tried hanging my fly rub in a gate way to get mineral & the bunk feeder with corn I throw in to get them to come in. My problem is only 4 of the 10 will go under it. If I put the water tank in there they wouldn't care because they just drink out of the pond in the pasture. Any great ideas of how to get them to go under it for the fly stuff to get on them? Also I had to get another mineral source because they wouldn't go in to get it! If they would only cooperate!
 
Nasco sells the mops. In the lower picture the red thing sticking in the corner of the mop is a funnel. You stick it in and pour the stuff into the funnel.
