Fly control minerals

When should I start feeding fly control minerals? Know it needs to be before flys show up in spring. When is that? Located in southeast Texas.

I'll soon switch over to this for fly help. It was almost 70 yesterday and there were a few flies already around.

I keep IGR mineral out year round. Seems like anytime the temp gets up to 65 flies come from out of nowhere.
