Fly control in the South

I live in North Mississippi and have a small herd of<br>black cattle(six). I would like to hear how other folks<br>in the Southeast control flies on their cattle.<p>What's the best for your situation? Ear tags, spray, <br>feed or mineral additive, powders or a combination of <br>these.<p>Any comments would be appreciated!<p>Phil

Hey Phil<br> No more than you have,I would spray them.Works good & you can see the results quickly.This is assuming your cows are docile & will let you get close to them.We usually put out a little feed when we spray ours.Tags require handling the cow.Oral lavarcides require a continous ingestion.Rubs must be put in a place where they have to pass--no easy task.<br>
