flush calving

here i was thinking that last years drought really messed up our calving this year.but boy was i wrong,we have calves all over the place.in the last 3wks i bet weve had 10 calves.we are constantly checking an watching cows.weve had 2 heifers to calve in 3 days as well as 2 cows.and we have 1 or 2 more getting ready to calve.got all of the reg beefmasters calved.had 1st calf heifer calve 2 days ago at a whisker pasted 19 months old.an she just spitt the calf out no prob.had 4 live heifers an 3 bulls.1 heifer calf died at 3wks old of unknown cause.so thats 62% heifers 37% bulls.

yes an we are just about done.my brother went out an checked the cows before he tended to a down bottle baby.an said he thought we had 8 more to calve out in the next 2 months.then we will be done unless another heifer starts bagging.guess i need to think about changing bulls.but im hoping some will get bred before i haul the bulls to town.
