Did some fishing this weekend.
Caught 4 of them between the kids and myself.

Was using my new 8# line reel with my Ugly Stick. Boy you had to keep changing bait.
We started with power bait, nothing.
Switched to this black backed rubber minnow and I got several hits on that, but they weren't getting hooked so I cut it down in size. I caught 2 and my son got his on my pole.
Daughter was fishing next to this really nice man and he got one on both his poles at the same time and she landed one.
He was using worms. Tried marshmellows earlier.

Yes, they are trout, looks to be Rainbow trout. Nice looking fish, are they out of a stocked lake? Back in the days I did lots of fishing I had pretty good luck using a little cured salmon roe...... Of course I fished with 1/2 rope on my reel :lol: :lol: Sorry I couldn't resist

Yes they are rainbow trout out of a stocked pond.
Put up a pretty good fight. They were jumping all over the place when we were there. Had a storm moving in at the time.
