This is my first calf out of my show heifer.
Just wanted to know what some people think, opinions, comments.
Honesty please! :]

Birth Weight: 65pounds
Date: Jan 12 '10
Dam: R&L Corona 3307(MAYBE ON THE NUMBERS?), shes out of Sedgwick brothers heifer (located in Kansas)
Sire: DAJS All Star M243

He's Angus by the way.

Very good form for a 5 month old. I have one the same age that looks about 75 lbs lighter than yours.

Thanks!

You know I honestly don't know. I had him priced at 900.
But i live in a very suburban area, and no one wants to show steers because you have to send them to slaughter. It's silly, but the truth. Anyways, I can't find a buyer so he's headed to market unfortunatley on Thursday. I need money to pay for my new heifer this year, so little Jethro has to go.

Your heifer did a good job of raising her calf. You were very wise to castrate him - not because of the lack of quality - because he is very nice - but because very few males should be left a bull. Also, much easier to just ship a steer than a bull. I commend you on that choice.

Thank you very much.

I think this next time I'm going to breed her to someone with a lot more bone and depth on the back end. I'm still learning, but i think thats what he needs more of.
