First Calf of the Year

Couldn't even get cell phone pics because it was too dark both times I checked on them today, but the first calf of the season was an 83# bull born on his dam's 8th birthday. Thankfully, he is very vigorous, and was up crowhopping after I weighed him. Wants to follow me around.

Edit: after taking a look at dam's papers again, realized he was born 3 days before her B-day.
