This is a small hayfield up on the hill behind the house. It is my favorite picture. It is about 6 acres of bermuda it made 39 bales. It was about knee deep when he cut it. The pile of litter you see is where a spreader truck had turned over there is a little ditch there and he ran off in it. We got most of it cleaned up but couldn't get it all. We only cut this area 1 time a year. It is mostly used for pasture. The entire field is 27 acres but the bottom of the hill is so rough you can't cut it.

Looks like it had good color even though it was thick. Did you have any trouble with baler stopping up? Sometimes thick hay will get the best of me.

yeah sometimes when the bale first starts it turns into a big puff ball in the front and have to dig it out and start over. That wasn't as bad because it wasn't as short as some bermuda we have tried to bale. That old hay baler has been a good one its a New Holland chain baler and we bought it used from a guy 5 years ago for 3000 and to date we have baled over 6000 bales with it. Paid for its self time and time again, plan on keeping it till it gives out on us.
