maybe someone can help me with this. we have this running argument at work about straight nitrogen fertilizer (46-0-0). We use it to the prevent ice forming on our runway when we get a rain then freeze cycle (breaks my heart to see it used like this...and you woldn't believe the amount we use...last year 22 tons!!)
we always have some left over in the hopper in the spring which we have to get rid of. half of the crew want to spin it out on the grass maintaining that it helps our crappy grass grow better root systems etc...the other half says bull, it only creates more green and doesn't really help the roots.
Any ideas?
