We should start cuttin this weekend, moisture level is still hangin close to 20% around here. Seed looks pretty thin but at 55 cents a lb were still gonna cut it. (That is a rumor price).

Wonderin if anybody out there has started cuttin yet?

We're still a couple of weeks away from combining the fescue. The seed is just starting to ripen. Most folks aren;t going to do seed this year since they've had to cut everything that is growing to try to put up some hay. The only fields we have that we would even consider are so over grown with queen anns lace this year that it would be a waste of time.

The hubby started combining fescue seed 3 days ago. He says some fields are good and some not so good.......... the rain has been sporadic around here and some places got nice showers and others haven't.

On the up side, the brotherinlaw started combining his wheat today and from what I could see our alfalfa and orchard grass is doing well (underneath the wheat) and I hope we get some rain on Monday like the weather channel is saying... we sure need it.
