The toxicity is a poison of sorts that primarily affects blood circulation and to a lesser degree poison type of affects.
How about the mineral deficiencies ie. copper, selenium?

I've never seen anything about fescue causing a porblem with it.

I'm going to have to go with the majority, sh1t happens. Just for piece of mind, pull some blood and have it tested. If nothing else, just for sh1tz and giggles.

We had one abort a few years back in an earlier stage than yours, calf weighed about 10 lbs and had no hair yet. Looked like a skinned cat, wife kept it in the freezer next to the t-bones for a few days til she could take it in and cut it open. Cow ended up testing pos for Lepto Hardjo Bovis and one other strain.

Dun, you are probably right. I thought if she was showing signs of 'possible' fescue foot at this late stage then aborting in her 3rd trimester (which is usually the case in Fescue toxicity) could also be possible but it's all guessing, I spose we will never know.... :?
