When do you really think it is too late to apply fertilizer in the spring? I have plenty of grass and doing rotational grazing. I didn't get my soil test result back as quick as I hoped and now I think if I fertilized I would be wasting my money as fescue will slow down here in month or so. I am thinking I would be better off to wait til fall and try to stockpile fescue for winter... Any thoughts or experience?

Dun is right. You will get more bang for your buck applying in late summer / early fall and stockpiling.
