The company I get distillers grain from switched from whole corn to a finely crushed corn. Now the barrels I picked up I can hear bubbling just like a can of soda. There is a smell of alcohol. Is this safe to feed to my cattle or hogs? The stuff before I never had this problem.

We feed distillers slop all the time, sometimes when we get it it still fermenting a little bit, hasn't hurt a thing. I'm sure you probably know but be sure and give them sodium bicarbonate and some sort of mineral with high calcium free choice. I've benn finishing some freezer calves on it they seem to do very well. It's cheap, they give it to us to haul it away.
