I have a barbed wire fence that is in need of mending. It happens to run through several acres of woods and hurricane Rita was not kind to it. I have a guy that said he would fix it for 60 cents a foot. That is picking up the fence and clearing four foot around it.
IS THIS A GOOD DEAL ?

It sounds like a good deal to me. I'm currently having fence work done and I just figured it's cost me about .84 cents a foot up till now and that is just for labor. Of course that has included replacing some rotted corner posts, clearing and removing brush and replacing t posts and 5 strands of wire on one stretch, other places have just needed re-stretching. My workers are working by the hour and probably dragging out the work. At least you'll have a definite cost for the job.
