hello being a newbie i bought a cow at the sale barn that has a bad foot.I did not notice it at time of sale but after i brought her home and turned her out in field.Her back hoof is enlongated and seems to be sore is there anything that can be done beside taking her back to barn. thanks

The 2 may be unrelated. Talk to your local vet see what it/she/he recommends. A lot depends on how long the toe is, if it's both or just one. She may have hurt that foot loading or unloading or she may have hoofrot, or some other problem.
