I'm workin on a project for school. Can anyone tell me or point me in the direction of a ration used at a feedlot (with DM, ME, Protien, etc. if possible), along with cost per ton. I really would appreciate it

How about a local one :) Some ingredients are left unspecific as I don't want any competition to get them.

If you want something to play with, go to Michigan University's website and download a trial version of Spartan ration balancer . It's a simple and inexpensive way to balance rations and it has a cost function .

Larry, it would be Michigan State if it's Spartan. I tried to get a similar program downloaded from Kansas State to work but didn't succeed. I think I'll give this one a try.

If I remember the one from KSU was some kind of template thing that I never did figure how to use .Cornell has one too but it seems terribly complicated . If you like Spartan it is only like $100 to buy .It is an old DOS program so it takes some to get used to it . These universitys are way behind in offering up to date software .
