Feeding the Feeder Heifers

I need your opinions on something.

I have 2 heifers that will be shown in a 4-h show. They have been on grain for awhile now but they have started to leave alot of their feed and go graze. So here is the question........

Should I put them in a feedlot and feed them grain and hay or should I reduce their grain and let them graze?

Need more information. Age, size, breed, ration being fed now, type of hay and grazing, present body condition.

Thanks but they just started eating their grain again. I don't know what made them stop or what made them start,but whatever.............
