Feeding corn

Would there be any benefit (or harm) to feeding a little corn to a few cows I just purchased? They have hay available and I have been giving them a bucket or so of range cubes when I get home to get them used to my voice, and they are now eating out of my hand, so I was wondering if maybe corn would be good for them. If so, is cracked or whole corn beter for them? Same price for both.

Sure, cracked corn is best they are able to digest more of the corn. Watch out and don't get the cattle too fat if they are bred.

And don't give them more then a pound maybe. Corn and forage require different rumen flora to process them. If you fed too much grain it will disturb the balance and cause problems.
