When I first read that topic line I was taken aback by that idea-- then as I read more and I saw "Los Angeles" in the type and being a conservative patriotic american I thought, perhaps, they are smoking those gass clippings? Sorry guy, had to get mine in on ya too.
But really, since you have access to a plethora of grass clippings and various other yard wastes in and around L.A.,why not start a "Composting Business" and sell their "grass clippings" back to them as "Natural Compost".
