Feeders

I have been looking at the bulk self feeders. I have looked at building a feeder like the a1 cattle feeders that are built of wood. Does anyone have experience with them or building one of them. Is the inside of feeder built with marine grade plywood to keep it from rotting?

I've seen plans online for them. I'm wanting to build one also, maybe next years winter project.
