Red Bull hit it. This country wasn't set up to have politics a permanent job. These people were suppode to return to their communities where they would have to answer for what they had supported. Today there is no such thing as accountability in America. Wish someone could figure out how to correct it. Just my opinion, FED UP AS WELL.

As I said in another thread this morning, I don't believe that representative government (by the people for the people) was ever meant to provide an full time long term occupation for our representatives. We've got all these power hungry folks in Washington trying to climb the political ladder. We need people in Washington that are in touch with the real folks out here.

the sadd thing is we maybe heading for/or in a bad depression.but you know we are lucky to some extent we have our families land an cattle.an we can raise our own beef.an put in a garden if we want 1.its the people that to drive everyday.gas may get so high that they can no longer afford to work.an have to quit their jubs.then add to it the high food prices.

Yes, your exactly right. I am not a doomsdayer; but things are about to get a lot worse. This U.S. Congress is a bunch of morons. They wouldn't expand drilling for oil or make it easier too build refineries or nuclear plants (something even Bush asked for in 2001) NOW we have a supply shortage. They accused the mortgage industry of too much discrimination so passed laws making it easier for "subprime" borrowers to get home loans. A few years later, those borrowers are losing their homes. As more and more foreclosures have hit the market home prices have dropped. Those lenders stuck with those houses can't sell them at a profit so banks are losing money. "Subprime" lenders failed en masse so now many Americans can not afford too buy the homes that are on the market. We have lost 15% of the value of the nation's home value since 2006 and we are still dropping. The typical American family has seen the equity in his house disappear over night so their ability too borrow is limited at best while cash costs for power, fuel, and food have all increased. Meanwhile, municipalities have financed all kinds of public works projects with muni-bonds. Unfortunately rising fuel costs and flat or declining revenues from property tax receipts mean that many of those bond issues are approaching junk status. Into this mix, the MORONS in the U.S. Congress (led by Hillary and Obama) have voted too increase ALL of the income tax rates, make millions more Americans pay federal income tax, double capital gains, and triple dividend taxes. It won't be felt this year; BUT when millions of American families already struggling with rising fuel prices, higher electricity prices, higher natural gas prices, higher food prices, maxed out credit cars, and paying a big mortgage payment on homes that aren't worth the amount of the mortgage suddenly get hit with higher federal income taxes there will be a domino effect throughout this economy as foreclosures increase, marriages dissolve, and businesses fail. But Congress will blame the oil companies, the banks, and corporations and will boldly promise more food stamps or a foreclosure holiday to help the needy; when most of this mess began with them. Increasing taxes in the face of a Recession shows either a complete disconnect with all economic reality OR is some kind of demented dream of making more people dependent upon this government rather than relying upon themselves.

Brandom the COLAs (combined Costruction and Operating Licensing Agreements) for nukes was passed along with the incentives to build them. Many utilities applied for them to meet all the deadlines. Nukes are planned everywhere for the first time in over 30 years. This should open a lot of construction jobs and other opportunities that have not been available in that sector for all these years.

Some of you may not care much for the French, but over there when politicians mess with farmers, the next day they find hundreds of them in their tractors up on the lawn of city hall. In other words, over there politicians still fear the people. Until ours do, again, we'll keep getting more of the same crap. Vote, sure, but it's long past time for liberty loving Americans to hit the streets and really make themselves heard.

Ok, back to the much more pleasant topic of cattle ;-)

You know in this country, its get him before he gets you. same thing at our sale barns that sell sick cattle and goats. this on your onner, is not working! i bought goats that were just fine throught the sale, but they load limping calfs wormie, yes maybe this country needs help.

Very good post.

The problem is everyone sets on their duffs and waits for some one else to protest for them. Two things can be done and they do carry weight. One is email and call sponsors of paticular news shows. Demand news that fixes or focuses on fixing whats broke rather than the interests of the ones that own the paticular news outlet. 2nd email and call these companies and tell them you are refusing to support their products as long as they give campaign donations to buy goverment. They are savvy enough to know without the profits of the consumer they dont have a political agenda to buy. Inform them that if the agenda they are buying is not in the interest of the American people then their product is history. Each person is needed in building strength to take back this country. There is strength in numbers.

One other thing that must be done is for people to get convictions that are good for one and all not just a few. Forget party lines and start focusing on American lines. Right now these lines are us being unemployed and third world status. The cow is out of the barn and unbiased fair minded Americans must take control of this country while we still have a chance. Forget party affiliation beacause neither party cares about you or me. What motivates corporate america and politicians is money cut it off knock their legs out from under them. The way to take control is the purse strings that get politicians elected. DEMAND MORE OF CORPORATE AMERICA. HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS AND THATS THE POCKET BOOK. If you call them have the convictions to follow up on them. Convictions are not worth a dime unless practiced.
