Some of my favourite females, for both type and temperament. Some you may have seen before. These are some of the ones I consider 'front pasture' females.

That's a nice set of pics. Good cattle. Is the mouse color common with the MG breed?

It's MGs like that which make the breed as popular here as they are today.

Mnm, from what I have seen in a number of MG herds the mousy brown colour is common but not as common as the silver.

I prefer the silver. They have a similar colour variation to Galloways. A good base breed to cross with. They do tend to be a bit discounted here and on the coast. Thats our silly buying scheme. No rewards for how good the cattle are or how much thought goes into the breeding.

Keren could you ship Rosita to me PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE :D :)

I will give her a home in the Mountains and mucho Amor. She is the cow of my dreams :cowboy:

thanks :D

3waycross ... no way that heifer is kept under lock and key!! She is pretty close to the cow of my dreams too :D

The CHOCOLATE (mousy teehee) colour is common, but it seems like we get a few more silvers. Some people breed only for the silver colour  because they like it better, which is ridiculous. You do need to cross a chocolate bull back over them every once in a while, because eventually breeding silver to silver you get the pigment lightened slowly until they are too light skinned. Crossing the chocolate back over them will keep the pigment chocolate coloured even on a silver haired animal.

There doesnt seem to be a pattern to the colour though. Two silver parents can throw a chocolate calf, and vice versa
