"I find it fascinating how few in our country actually believe in freedom." djinwa Sure wish more people thought along these lines. Im glad to see some still do. The world will never be perfect but liberty could solve so many issues.

Not surprising: That freedom does not rank higher than it does in what many consider human needs. Just one example:

You could be the freest man on earth but if you were starving, would you trade that freedom for a regular meal? Many would trade their freedom for security. We have in fact.

If it were that simple of a matter of choice. One individuals choice on giving up freedom over starvation is one thing. It is a complete different for an entire population accepting slavery and servitude for themselves , their children and grand children while proclaiming to be free. Besides, Blindly following government authority has starved more people in the world throughout history than any govt program has ever staved.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) just how many people believe only a govt and it's enforcers know what is best for a people or the individual.
