Does anyone on here, maybe more even from around my area know of a freeze brand on cattle that looks like a state? I think Ive seen them on the internet somewhere. I recently went by a farm that had some good looking black bulls in there field with the cows. From what I could see the it was a freeze brand on the right hindquarter, it looked like the outline of a state, kinda looked like Virginia, Kentucky, or West Virginia. Has anyone got any idea of this? Like I said I think Ive seen it somewhere where the farms brand was a state, or maybe it is from a bull test station?

The VA BCIA bull sales use a state brand on the hip. Some Premium Assured heifers get the state brand also.

west virginia bull and heifer test puts a brand on the animals that were on test there. the test is in masson WV the sale is every spring,

I have seen cattle with the Alabama state map branded to them before; though that is not the Auburn brand. I am trying to remember where this was and I can't remember it.
