Can any one point me in the right direction of a good beef and or cow magazine? I don't want something that shows you the proper care of calves in the winter along with good recipies for christmas. Just a good cattle magazine like Hoards Dairyman does for the dairy industry. I 'm getting into raising Herfords,if that helps.

Drovers and Beef magazines.

They both have online sites you can check out: <A HREF="http://www.drovers.com" TARGET="_blank">www.drovers.com</A> and <A HREF="http://www.beef-mag.com" TARGET="_blank">www.beef-mag.com</A>. Do you receive the Hereford magazine from the Hereford Assn?

Also look at "Progressive Farmer" magazine as well as some of the association journals.

depending on your location, there is also Southern Livestock, Gulf Coast Cattleman, Weekly Livestock Journal and as mentioned, Hereford World (http://www.hereford.org). Successful Farming is pretty good as well.

There is also the High Plains Journal that keeps up with grain and livestock. The HPJ shows alot of the bigger barns weekly prices and things like that. <A HREF="http://www.hpj.com" TARGET="_blank">www.hpj.com</A>
