Noble Foundation Seminar Will Discuss Farm and Ranch Estate Planning

Farmers and ranchers can accumulate significant wealth in their estates. Preservation of estate assets, including real estate, livestock, machinery, stocks, bonds and cash, requires careful planning. The Noble Foundation is hosting an Estate Planning Seminar on Thursday, July 13, at the Southern Okla. Technology Center, Seminar Room A in Ardmore, Okla. to assist in making important estate-related decisions. The seminar will explain techniques to maximize the conservation of assets both during the lifetime and upon the death of the estate holder.

Speakers will include, Dr. Wayne A. Hayenga, Professor and Extension Economist at Texas A&M University, Mr. Kevin D. Norton, Assistant State Conservationist for Programs for the state of Okla. at the Natural Resources Conservation Service and Mr. Gary C. Clark, Vice President and General Counsel at the Oklahoma State University Foundation.

During the seminar, experts will speak about:

federal estate tax laws;

Oklahoma and Texas estate laws;

conservation easements;

charitable trusts; and

business structuring.

The seminar will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee, which includes lunch.

The Southern Oklahoma Technology Center is located east of the Noble Foundation Campus at 2610 Sam Noble Parkway.
